Badminton is far more than just a sport to Malaysians — it's woven into the very soul and identity of the nation. Badminton offers a wide variety of exciting betting options. At Atas99, we cover all the standard bet types used in this racket sport — from the most straightforward options right through to more specific markets for experienced bettors.
What sets badminton betting apart from other sports is that matches typically play out over two or three sets, keeping the momentum in constant flux and offering sharp bettors plenty of opportunities to read the situation.
Pick the player or team you think will win the match. This is the most straightforward bet type and a great starting point for beginners. Odds on Atas99 reflect current world rankings and recent player performance.
A handicap in sets given to the weaker player. For example, if you back Ng Tze Yong +1.5 sets against a top-ranked opponent, Ng Tze Yong only needs to win one set for your bet to win.
Predict whether the match will be decided in 2 sets (straight game) or go the distance to a third (rubber game). A popular bet when two evenly matched players face off.
Place bets while the match is in play. Odds shift with the live score — a golden opportunity for those who can read the momentum on Atas99.
Combine multiple matches into a single slip for the chance of much bigger returns. Ideal for those who have analysed several matches on a single tournament day.
Predict the overall tournament winner — Thomas Cup, Malaysia Open or the BWF Finals. Odds are significantly higher than on single-match bets.
Malaysian players compete at the highest level in the world — your bet means something!

Badminton betting requires some knowledge of the sport to make well-informed decisions. At Atas99, we provide not just a solid betting platform, but also useful information to help you make smarter choices. This includes head-to-head records between two players, recent form across previous tournaments, and a concise breakdown of each player's playing style.
One thing worth understanding about badminton betting is the influence of psychology. Unlike team sports such as football, badminton often comes down to individual momentum and mindset. A player riding a hot streak can take down someone ranked much higher. This means In-Play betting at Atas99 can be highly rewarding if you know how to read the flow of a match.
For Thomas Cup or Uber Cup matches involving the Malaysian team, the atmosphere reaches another level. The crowd support at Axiata Arena typically gives the home side a psychological edge. Atas99 factor this into our odds-setting — making bets on Malaysian team matches on home ground a particularly compelling value proposition.
We also know that most top-level badminton matches are scheduled in the evening or at night Malaysian time (MYT) — meaning you can enjoy the action and place your bets after work or school, without having to sacrifice sleep the way some European sports demand. Atas99 provides all these features to make your badminton betting experience more enjoyable.

Real voices from our badminton community across Malaysia
"I've been following Malaysian badminton since the Sidek brothers era. Now with Atas99, every Lee Zii Jia match has an extra edge of excitement because I have a bet on. I once won RM650 when he beat Axelsen. Best platform I've ever used!"
"During the Thomas Cup, I placed a bet on Malaysia to win through Atas99. The match had me on edge the entire time, but when Malaysia pulled through, the money hit my TNG in about 8 minutes flat. Zero issues with the withdrawal. Highly recommended for badminton fans!"
"The In-Play betting feature on Atas99 for badminton is seriously next level. You can adjust your bets mid-match. I once switched my bet when Aaron/Wooi Yik were down a set, but after seeing their momentum swing back, I moved on the odds and ended up winning RM380. Felt like a proper analyst!"
